Hello to all my readers out there.  I must apologize for the unannounced hiatus that I have taken from posting.  Yes, my husband’s surgery went well and he’s no longer snoring (thank God!).  Thanks for checking in on him!

However, my hiatus is likely going to continue as we are, once again, going through lay-offs and my job is (once again) in jeopardy.  So, I’m having kind of a hard time coming up with funny stuff to write ‘cuz I’m so stressed out.   Please forgive me – I’ll try to whip my ass in gear and  start up again.  Thanks for tuning in!

My good friend and colleague resigned last week.  I was bummed because I really liked working with her.  She is the smart one, though, getting out of this hell-hole of an industry.  She’s going to devices – all pharm reps dream job.  She’ll be great at it.

More surprised was my boss.  She was the coveted one.  She always was winning, her customers loved her, and she was on the fast track to move up.  She also – I happen to know – was making bigger bucks than me.

I write about this because my boss is so stupid.  He gets on the voicemail and sends out a blast to the region that Suzy Smith (name changed to protect) has resigned and taken a job that pays LESS!  Was that necessary?  Is it anybody’s business?  I happen to know that she may be making less in base, but her bonus is going to be out of this world.  I could only dream of a bonus like that.  Ours is supposedly “uncapped” – but you know.  It’s not.

I’m jealous.  I’ll just leave it at that.

Today I felt like I had a boogar on the edge of my nose, while I was talking to a physician. This is the worst, because it is a catalyst to an ongoing cycle that makes the conversation uncomfortable and nearly impossible.

If I ever do leave this job – there’s a few things I’d like to do:

• First I’ll go say a tearful goodbye to the nice offices.  That shouldn’t take long.
• Second, I’ll take the rest of the week to go see the offices who were always rude to me, treated me like hell, and complained when I brought the “wrong” kind of food for lunch.  I’d pull up in their parking lot and call them on the phone and ask them if they need samples.  When they rudely tell me that yes, they need them, then I’ll respond like this:

Are your f*^%$#! legs broke!  Walk your fat a*# down here and get them yourself!

• Third, take my computer to a shooting range and unload about 40 rounds on it.

If I’m ever forced to find a new job, the one skill I have perfected over the last 15 years is talking on the phone while driving, booting up my computer, checking the text that came in, logging on the computer, arranging a play date, ordering my lunch for the day, and checking email -all at the same time – WITHOUT wrecking my car!

Now that’s talent!

I believe this talent can land me my next job.  I’ll just look for the job that asks for “effective multi-tasker needed” and that’s the one for me.

I’m back from vacation!  What a fun time I had and much needed rest and relaxation!  I am now on my detox program to try to lose the 5 pounds I gained from eating and drinking too much.

My family drove from Texas to Florida and on our way back I found what I believe to be the cleanest bathroom ever!  It happens to be at the rest area on the Alabama state line. OMG!  You could eat off the floor in this one – you could EVEN sit on the toilet WITHOUT any protection from germs. (But I didn’t)  This one may bump the #1 best bathroom on the top 10 bathroom list down a notch.  pharmgirldiaries.com/2011/05/25/…
The state of Alabama needs to give the “Environmental Specialists” who keep that bathroom clean a raise or a bonus.  I’m just sayin’…
