About Jill

A little about me… My name is Jill and I am a pharmaceutical rep for a fortune 500 company (a.k.a. Big Pharma). I've been in a pharma rep for 16 years, and have seen many territories come and go. Overall, I like my job, but I'm frustrated with the increase in demand, increased workload and no increase in salary. Let’s not mention the decrease in bonus dollars! I'm aging (40-something) and see nothing but new short-skirted bimbos being hired in at half the pay with a fraction of the work ethic that I'm accustomed to. These are supposed to be my new partners? After working with some of the top reps in the industry and earning numerous awards this is what I am left to deal with? I'm the lone survivor of many “restructurings” (better known as layoffs), mergers, and acquisitions. I frantically spend each and every day trying to balance work life and home life….after all – Tramontex* keeps preaching that they have work-life balance…and work is winning. Why is that? This blog is my life. I am Jill. I am writing this because it is therapeutic and I need help! But God knows, I don’t have time to seek professional help, or the money because my bonus sucks. So you get to listen to me vent! Lucky You! For all of you who thought being a drug rep was a glamorous job….. I hate to break it to you…..it’s not….. READ ON…. *Tramontex is a fictional company… for obvious reasons! pLDNetworks pLDNetworks (part of the projectLD, LLC. family) is a growing network of lifestyle, health and special needs websites providing information, education and inspiration to visitors in more than 160 countries.
